Arc duplicated albums

Hello everyone,

I’m getting and issue with Roon ARC, where there’s duplicated albums, it started with 2 and now I’m getting up to 8 duplicated albums. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

Is it is only in ARC? This keeps happening in regular Roon for a number of us, wonder if it’s related?

ARC duplications (and non-ARC, which I still experience) have been reported/discussed in Early Access but without a resolution :man_shrugging:

Approaching 5 months and no change. It’s happening to me all the time on various artist and non various artists. None are splits just full copies. It starts with one and over time gets more and more. A reboot clear is it for a while but will return.

Yeah full duplicates for me as well and still happening (just saw a case in my library few days ago)

Yes only on ARC.

I’ve tried rebooting the server and quitting the app, it doesn’t go away, I didn’t do anything on the app besides just playing music.

The team is still investigating this type of behavior. Please try the following at your convenience:

  1. Reproduce this issue in ARC and take a screenshot as you just shared in your initial post
  2. On a different machine running Roon (phone, computer, or tablet), navigate to the same view in Roon (Albums page, sorted by Date Added descending). Take a screenshot there, too.

Please share both screenshots when you have a chance.

The goal is to distinguish at a given moment whether the server is sending different data to both machines, or whether one of them has differently cached data.

Our team will collect diagnostics on the backend to accompany these screenshots based on the timestamp.

From our understanding, this behavior is related to the database itself. Other users have reported a workaround by fully restoring the database from a fresh backup. Create a Backup, find and rename the RoonServer folder housing your database before re-downloading and restoring.
