Describe your network setup

Tried figuring out port forwarding and NAT/Gaming but not working using 55000 and such.

Hi @kevwhite76,

Than you for your post.

Do you have two routers in your network setup? The error you shared usually indicates that the router directly upstream from your Roon Server machine doesn’t have UPnP enabled. That’s expected on most AT&T BGW320 routers, and the workaround it to set a manual port forwarding rule in the NAT → Gaming section, which you’ve tried.

I’d first recommend simply changing the port to something different in case the router or another service is using that port. Try 56000 or something in the 60000 range.

You’ll need to update that in the router settings page as well as Roon. Make sure the format/protocol is TCP and the IP address for your server matches in both places.

If you have a second router, you’ll need to also create the same manual port forwarding rule there.

Let us know if this helps and we’ll proceed from there. Thank you!

Hi @kevwhite76,

Just checking in on this. Have you had a chance to try a different port, like 56000 or something in the 60000 range, and update both the router and Roon Server to match? If you have a second router in the path, did you also add the same TCP forwarding rule there and confirm the server IP is the same on both sides? Let us know what you’re seeing, thanks!
