Hi @guimx,
Unfortunately, what you’re encountering is a symptom of the database itself not syncing properly due to resource and data transfer constraints. This is a symptom of the database being too large for the ARC and the phone to handle.
To use ARC effectively, Roon needs to synchronize information about your music library to your mobile device. While the synchronized data is far smaller than what’s stored on the Roon Core, a library of this size—700+ tracks—can still be too large for a mobile device to handle efficiently. You’ll find it will work sometimes, and then suddenly not work.
In this case, the Home page widgets are failing because the ARC framework has extreme resource and memory constraints - ARC is attempting to index, download, and display more data than the phone can handle at that time.
In addition to device performance considerations, both Apple and Google enforce limits on resource usage that make transferring, synchronizing, and storing this volume of data impractical within a mobile app.
We’re working constantly to expand the capabilities of ARC to users with larger libraries, but the current estimated ceiling is still in the realm of 200-350k tracks, depending on the makeup of the library and associated metadata.
If you want to ensure ARC can sync and launch reliably, you’ll need to effectively re-create the database with a smaller number of objects. Some users aren’t willing to cleave off portions of their database in order for ARC to function reliably, but you’d like to try, you can take these steps:
- Create a [Backup]( https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/backup ) of your current database
- Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
- Navigate to your Roon [Database Location]( https://kb.roonlabs.com/Database_Location )
- Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and delete it
- Reinstall the Roon App from our [Downloads Page]( https://roonlabs.com/downloads ) to generate a new RoonServer folder
- Create a new RoonServer instance instead of restoring a Backup
- Import only ~200k tracks and see if ARC syncs successfully. Add in portions of your library from there.
- You can restore the Backup if you want to retain your previous, full library
