ARC indicates Roon Server compatibility update needed, no update prompt visible (ref#7WALKA)

Describe the issue

ARC is showing that ROON Server needs an update for compatibility. I don't see an update request in ROON and opening ROON Server does not show any info about new updates. What now?

This seems to happen recently and occasionally when ARC is installed on two devices. There is a fix coming (it’s currently available in Early Release testing). Either wait until it’s released or uninstall/reinstall ARC to fix it (but you will lose ARC downloads). (Or switch to Early Access versions, but probably not worth it if you don’t want to keep testing.)

Thank you for the report. The team can reproduce this issue reliably in-house and has escalated to development. The ticket has merged through the pipeline, and we anticipate multiple associated fixes in coming builds.

We have an associated fix to prevent users from becoming stuck on the “Time for an Update” screen. This fix is already pending release in the Early Access section.

Please let us know if the reinstall has resolved this issue in the meantime.
