On ARC iOS latest version during playback, I pressed “|>” to go to the next track and the app UI froze as per attached video. “<|” and “|>” and pause buttons work to go to previous/next track but the UI does not update, and “V” to go back to the ARC main screen does not work. I had to kill the app. This is the first time I have seen this.
Sorry, the forum does not seem to allow uploading video, and a simple screenshot doesn’t show the corruption — interestingly the screenshot looks perfectly normal, where a screen capture recording shows the corruption.
the screen is flickering heavily, with sections of the screen on the right upper and lower edge having white squares about 2cm x 1cm of corruption. If you would like the video can you suggest how to send (or maybe allow small .mp4 on the forums?).
Thank you for the report. The team has identified the event you described in diagnostic logging and will investigate with development.
While ARC continued to display the Magic Flute after proceeding to other queued tracks, the ARC framework was struggling to resolve upstream addresses due to both memory pressure and poor connectivity. The app should either recover without error, or display an error, if those factors interfere with playback or the UI. Neither occurred in this case, so we’d like to isolate some variables.
Have you reproduced this issue on WiFi, particularly while connected to your home network?
Thanks for letting us know @Evan! If you could attempt reproduction over stable wifi as well, that would provide a key detail for our development team while they investigate further - we’ll monitor for your reply!
The team hasn’t reproduced this internally, but upcoming changes to the ARC framework should eliminate any possible vulnerabilities that might have led to the visible artifacts and hanging/freezing you described. Please reach out in a new thread if you encounter this moving forward.
