ARC is working fine, but Roon says it will be unable to access the server

I recently changed my Dietpi-based Roon Server from DHCP to a static IP address. The actual IP address has not changed, just the configuration of the network on Dietpi. I did this because I wanted to change it to use OpenDNS rather than my ISP DNS. So DNS changed, everything else remained the same.

Everything is working fine since the change. Except Roon is telling me that ARC will not be able to access the server. But it can access the server. To be clear, ARC is actually working fine.

I see this is in Roon;

Before I made the change from DHCP to static this didnt happen.

Anyone seen something like this before? Or have any ideas why it might be?

For info I’m not using PnP, I have setup port forwarding on my router manually.

The error box is cut off in your screenshot but most likely you have status 530 and error 1016:

You’re right and this looks like it may well explain the issue. Thanks!

If it doesnt clear up on its own I guess I’ll need to use a different DNS service.

I think it’s unrelated to your DNS, the issues seems to me more between Roon cloud and Cloudflare. Anyway it should clear up
