ARC not connecting to Roon Core on Synology NAS

Hi all,

Roon Core is running on Synology 1821+

I have a Sagecom 5670 router and I have opened the ports for ARC,
in my case 55002, I have also talked to the company to get out of CGNAT, I am trying to access Roon ARC but I get this error:

{
“ipv4_connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“207.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“null”,“router_external_ip”:“null”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”}
}

Thank you

Are you out of it yet? If not, that may be why you are having issues.

The rule for ARC ROON shows external host 192.168.1.133, which seems strange as I suspect this is internal ip address of you synology NAS.

For the rule above it is empty, which probably corresponds to any ip address. Can you adapt the rule and try to clear the external ip?

Hi @alberto_santos,

Did you see the comments above? You’ll likely need to adjust your port forwarding rules to point correctly to the IP of the Core and the external IP listed in your router web GUI.

Additionally, I’d enable UPnP if your provider has removed carrier-grade NAT from your account. Roon can autoconfigure port forwarding via UPnP on simple networks.

@connor,
I have connection problems with ARC.
Disconnects easily.
The only way is to enter the app room at home and reload the port.
What I can do?
Thank you
