I need to do a fresh install. I have Roon on my iPhone and the server is seen and ARC is ready. ARC was not working on my iPhone [I could not open it] so I deleted the app and needed to reinstall it on my iPhone but when I went to the store I tried to open it and it still wouldn’t open on the phone. Resolved problem by installing roon on phone, then going to app store and downloading ARC, rebooted my Mac Studio core and synced with the server. I have now downloaded 5/10 DSD and hi-res albums for offline listening, without any issue but the app closed and could not be reopened. I let the iPhone cool down and a restarted it and a sixth album came down and the app closed and could not be reopened. It appears that 6 is the limit to download for offline listening and hopefully Roon technical folks will look into this and in the meantime I will be contacting Apple support
I’m a bit confused by what you mean.
Once Roon puts an update out, this becomes the version only available from the App Store. You cannot download the previous version again.
Are you having issues after updating from 1.72 to 1.74?
After posting in the support category, I consulted Grok and downloaded 3 DSD and 2 192/24 albums successfully after multiple attempts and will mainly listen on the iPhone and CarPlay via the Quobuz app to around 30 hi-res albums that I’ve downloaded but at some point I’ll see if Apple has a fix for this issue. FYI: here’s what Grok said: “this is a fairly commonly reported issue with Roon ARC on iOS (especially iPhone), particularly when dealing with hi-res (high-resolution PCM) and especially DSD albums. From user reports on the Roon Community forums and elsewhere, downloading multiple large hi-res/DSD albums at once (like your batch of 10) frequently causes the app to crash during the process. After the crash, the app often becomes unlaunchable (stuck, gray screen, or immediate force-close), requiring a delete/reinstall to recover.
