ARC on Mercedes Android Auto - playback settings

On my new Mercedes’ Android Auto, Roon ARC refused to play. That is, it did a few seconds and then stopped, however the ARC’s “now playing” showed it did play, without sound.

With an AI’s help it was found that the Mercedes is very picky on the sample rate. Roon ARC tries to go hi-res (96/192kHz) but apparently the Merc wants max 48kHz.

OK, I changed to CD quality and that indeed fixed it.

All good and well, that’s for in the car. But at work I listen Roon ARC with B&W Pi8’s and there I want the max quality.

Remembering to change this setting each time is a burden, so if the good people from Roon ARC would foresee a possibility from the home screen to select a choice of “playback profile” that users can set up?

Or a setting that selects automatically on Android Auto?

Thx !!!

As pointed out in your Roon Software Discussion thread, aptX Lossless can only provide a maximum of CD quality in ideal circumstances, so this point is moot.

Moreover, Bluetooth goes through Android Audio and will likely be converted to 48 kHz anyway. Only a USB connected DAC using the beta driver can deliver up to 192 kHz.

you pointed me to the Muse settings - for those reading this thread - that seems to be the feature I requested here…
