ARC over WiFi and cellular - Beach play

I’m in the middle of my free Roon trial. Core is on Windows machine attached via WiFi to home network. ARC is on my Samsung S22 Ultra.

Right now, I’m sitting on a beach in Panama City Beach, with my phone on cellular data. I’m streaming from home server and get this as the source path…

Is it really this easy? What does the AAudio output tell me? Is this file still being played in 24/48k??

If so, that is freaking amazing.

Yes it is that simple, as your source is already a 48 kHz file. However, a more common 44.1 kHz file would be converted to 48 because that’s what Android uses. See here if you are into a discussion:

If I turn on my wireless Sony’s, it appears to be upsampling everything to 96kHz. Sounds amazing. And I have my entire library at my disposal. Cool stuff. I’ll probably buy a subscription.

Probably because then you are using the LDAC bluetooth codec, which requires this. (With some options on some devices)
