Hi @rlcom,

Thank you for posting.

First off, make sure that UPnP is enabled in the Fritz!Box settings admin page.

If you’re still encountering a failure in Roon Settings → ARC (particularly if you see mulitipleNAT anywhere in the diagnostic text), then a layer of network address translation is blocking port forwarding.

This simply means that a second router, or your internet service provider, is scrambling your IP address above the level of Roon Server’s connection.

Do you have a second router in this setup? If so, try putting one of your two routers in bridge mode.

If you only have the Fritz!Box as a router in this setup, then your internet service provider hasn’t allocated you a dedicated IPv4 address. You’ll need to request one. Depending on your account tier and the length of your contract, this may or may not be available for a small fee.

Who is your ISP?

We can assist with specifics.

Here’s a guide you can use that outlines the steps above in greater detail:

Hi @rlcom,

Wanted to follow up on this. Were you able to check that UPnP is enabled in the Fritz!Box and see whether the ARC diagnostic still shows multiple NAT? If you have a second router in the mix, the Networking Best Practices guide may help with sorting out which device should handle routing, and if it is just the Fritz!Box, we still need to know who your ISP is so we can point you in the right direction. Please reply with any update when you have a moment.
