ARC setup issue on NUC running ROCK with Tailscale (ref#P0UWFT)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Can’t reach my Server, remotes or ARC

Can’t connect to my Server, remotes or ARC

· Other ARC issues

Tell us what's going on

· I'm trying to set up ARC on my NUC running ROCK and Tailscale. I've set the port to 0 and both the ROCK and iPads and iPhones are running Tailscale, I've double checked they are connected on the same Tailscale account. My ARC apps do not find the ROCK server.
ROCK version is Version 2.1 (build 271) production
Server version is Version 2.60 (build 1629) production
I do note that the Tailscale version supplied with Roon is outdated.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tell us about your home network

· Router is a Linksys velop model as supplied by my fibre ISP.
There is an unmanaged switch in the basement and the ROCK NUC is hardwired to this via another small switch.

These are the diagnostics data from the ROCk but my understanding was these are irrelevant when using Tailscale.

“{
“ipv6_connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“ipv4_connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“45.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“2a02:ddd:eee:fff:ggg:hhh:iii:jjj”,“router_external_ip”:“100.kkk.lll.mmm”},
“status”: “status”: MultipleNatFound
,
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“multinat_autoconfig”: {“status”:“Success”,“error”:“No Error”,“routers”:1,“routers_mapped”:1}
}”

Please ignore the diagnostics for port forwarding as you don’t use it. Can you connect using Tailscale or not?

Yes. The ROCK homepage opens instantly when I use the Tailscale IP address for it.

Then all is fine.

Other than ARC cannot find my Roon server.

[Edit: I logged back out of ARC then logged in again (for a third time) and it found the Roon server. Weird.]

Hello @dpstjp
