Why does Roon Arc only show saved tracks from an album , I can’t see to easily show the entire album like you can in the desktop main app. Anyone can set me straight.? Seems I’m missing something obvious …
See my screen shot from the iPhone app. I would have expected there was one click or screen touch on object to link me to the entire album and not just the “saved tracks”
What build of ARC are you on? On build 202 I’m seeing all tracks.
There is a difference when I’m running ARC in offline mode. Then the non-downloaded tracks are greyed out, but still showing. Maybe older builds behaved differently?
Latest build online mode. The issue is that I can’t actually go to the full album . As in the us no button to select for “see full album” so to speak …Arc is just doing like the main app that sows tracks favourited . But in the main app there is a link that says “see this full album on qobuz” I can’t for see this anywhere in the mobile app …
So I can access full album that’s listed under artist discography, as I’m not yet saved or favourite to library but with the tracks previously liked in qobuz that are now show in ROON I can play them but as I stated no way to go to full album…
See the screen shot , even from the menu ether is nothing, no link to full album or album on qobuz etc.
I would have assumed here there would be a link to full album at least.
Clicking on the album cover or title on main player page just take me full circle back to the 2 songs in this j stance that were liked.
Ah. Now I understand. Thanks for clarifying. I was able to reproduce this now.
I’m seeing the following behaviour:
When an album is in the library, all tracks are showing in ARC.
In offline mode, all tracks are shown, but tracks that are not downloaded are greyed out
When an album is not in the library and not tracks of the album are in the library, all tracks are shown
When a limited number of tracks of the album are in the library, ARC only shows the tracks in the library and does not provide a way to view all tracks
So to me it’s like there is an issue with the Arc design , it just won’t let me go to the full Album track list period. I can’t see any button or click on any object that get me to full track list when playing saved tracks. Of course as clarified I’m online and latest software , for anyone else reading this post.
Even for an Album I have not saved any tracks of, if you hit the menus there is no option to view Album. Seems weird , like it would be very common for people to want to see the rest of the album.
Last screen shot shows the Go to Album option from radio mode .
So in Radio mode when you go to the menus there is the button to go to Album??? I’m either totally missing the obvious here which I hope is the case and someone can correct me , or there is no option to go to album from saved tracks.
You posted in the Roon Software Discussion category which is different from Support category. I don’t think this section of the community is being monitored by Roon support staff.
To be fair, he also posted this in the Support category. However, this lack of functionality in ARC as compared with the Desktop and Roon Remote apps is a known issue and long standing. Best thing is to get voting on the Feature Suggestions thread.
I also encountered the same problem. But if I choose the “VERSIONS” tab I can choose between my local (downloaded) version on my Nucleus and a QOBUZ (or Tidal) version which shows and play the entire album.
I also contact Roon directly via the info email … nothing… I would hazard a guess that other subscribers are baffled how not being able to view the actual Album , which makes the player useless, could be considered something we will get around to adding. What’s the point seriously . I have no doubt that our subscription fees are hard at work fixing other non essential issues and broadening the company’s footprint in the industry… meanwhile a man cant see an Albums track list which bout 50% of Roon’s function in my book.
On the other hand, adding the entire album to your Roon library will show all tracks in ARC.
Perhaps you can temporarily add them to your library and tag them so you can easily identify them and remove them from the library when the issue is fixed.
