Using Tailscale. Roon working on my network fine and all my devices, ARC was working fine until a week or so ago and then just started saying off line. I’ve changed nothing. Restarted everything, tailscale connected, tailscale website shows devices active but app shows cloud and roon server off line. Everything is up to date. This is what I get for a diagnostics file. What’s a 504 error code?
This is not relevant when you are using Tailscale and should be ignored. It only relates to a port forwarding connection and the whole point of Tailscale is to remove the need for port forwarding.
If it was working from outside of your home network (with Tailscale) but is not working any longer, then something has gone wrong with your Tailscale setup.
Appreciate the answer. That would seem to make sense but now I’m really at a loss since that all seems to be in order. Tailscale site shows all my devices as active. I even deactivated and reactivated to confirm. The VPN is set accordingly on my Mac (where the server is) and on all my devices and shows it connected and active. The only indication of anything wrong is upon opening ARC it says Roon server not connected to the internet whether I am connected to my wifi or not. The Roon app connects just fine. So I have no idea where to look for the issue.
Update - I deleted the tailscale app from the server and reinstalled, everything connected then I got a quick message saying it could not connect to the Dallas server - server configuration issue found, then disappeared and yet it says my devices are connected. Still doesnt work. Maybe that is the source of the problem.
Update - I uninstalled tailscale from my server and my devices, then reinstalled, logged into the Tailscale admin site and as I reconnected on my server and devices the admin page went from disconnected to connected. This make no sense why it is not working. Everything says it is connected and should be working.
Problem solved. I had to uninstall and delete data for tailscale on server and all my devices and reinstall. For whatever reason that fixed the issue.
