ARC Support using Comporium ISP

If anyone wants to take a shot at seeing if the can solve the problem, Here is my error. I’ve already ordered a static IP, but was told I would receive it sometime next week.

ISP: Comporium

I’ve tried adding port forward routes, turning off firewalls on the router and the Mac. I’m pretty convinced I have to pay the $5 a month for the static IP, but if anyone as an idea, I’m listening. I’ve also tried a dozen different ports, currently back to the default as I wait for a static IP.

@Clifton, welcome to the Community. I created a new Support request for you. It’s best not to add to another user’s existing request but to create a separate one for you.

It appears Comporium is using CGNAT based on the external IP address which begins with “100”. This prevents ARC from working as it needs a non-shared external IP address to function. I believe you are correct that you will need to request a static public IP address from Comporium to get ARC working.

Then I’d wait for that because the MultipleNatFound indicates that your ISP currently has you on CG-NAT or similar (unless you have 2 routers at home but according to your info you don’t)

Hi @Clifton,

Roon tech support here. We’re standing by in case the dedicated WAN IP from Comporium doesn’t bypass the NAT layer. Please keep us posted if you find success with auto-configuration or otherwise. Thanks!

I added in the static IP and it worked straight away. Thanks for checking in.
