Description of Issue

I have moved to a new ISP (Community Fiber) but am only using their modem and my old amplifi-hd router but am now no longer able to reach the Roon Core through Roon ARC when outside of my network.

I was previous with Virgin Media (ISP), who provided a combined modem/router and so I had the amplifi-hd router in ‘bridge mode’ but not currently.

I have tried setting up port forwarding, using various PORT (around 55005), and also manually configured a static IP address (192.168.147.2) for the Nucleus but still cannot access it via ARC.

I have followed the steps in the Port Forwarding guidance I found here here https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/arc-port-forwarding
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

I get the below message in Roon.

Hi @Justin_Newman

I’m just a fellow Roon user.

Welcome to the community.

You appear to have a multinat error.

“status”: “status”: MultipleNatFound

The steps you haven taken appear correct, but having a quick search of the your new ISP indicates they operate a carrier grade NAT, CGNAT.

I think you’ll need to contact them to see if you can be given a private IP address.
