Core and Phone are connected in Tailscale. However, ARC is unable to connect to my Nucleus One. Forwaring port is set to zero in Settings. I have no clue why this does not work.
Describe your network setup
AIS DSL (Thailand), Wifi off, Ubiquiti AC, Synology NAS, DHCP + NAT still done by the AIS model.
Thank you for your message. Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
@Bram_Heerink - I’ve removed the screenshot from your first post because it was showing your private email address in a public forum. This is not advisable. Thanks for your understanding.
I tried this but I did not work. Tailscale sees both devices but is complaining about unable to reach the DNS servers. Code: dns-forward-failing. I don’t know if that’s important here but it would definitely not be the first that everything is dead because of DNS.
Could you please log out of Roon ARC on your iPhone, then remove the application from the device?
After that, reinstall it from the App Store and log in again while connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Roon Core, with Tailscale disabled.
Thank you for making me aware of this possible solution. However, the new Roon Server update made my problem disappear, without updating Roon ARC to 1.70. I saw there were quite a few changes in the networking area, so that presumably did the trick.
