Describe the issue

Today my free trial of Roon was to expire and I had an automatic payment setup. For some reason the payment failed - so I manually paid it this morning.

I had to reset my password as my phone didn’t remember it and now my ARC is saying I’m “unauthorized” and will not connect to the system. Some of my downloads won’t play either. When I click on a downloaded album I get a popup window that says “ Something went wrong
Try again or listen to your downloads”.

Roon works fine on my computer.

I’ve reset the port and nothing has changed.

Thank you

Describe your network setup

I’m using 1 gigabit WiFi with Eero 6. These problems persist offline

My guess is that you will have to reinstall the ARC app. It’s currently also a necessity if one restores a backup on the Roon Server or if one switches the active server. (Roon Labs said they are working on improving this)

Hey @joeybravo89,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report! This is certainly odd behavior - we’ll bring it over to our accounts team to see what might be going on.

In the meantime, we’d be curious to see what reinstalling Arc would do - as @Suedkiez mentioned above. It’s not something that should be required, but if this solves your issue, it will provide helpful information for us to share with the development and accounts team.

Let us know your results, thank you! :raised_hands:

Thanks for the help everyone. Uninstalling the app has worked. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do it as I don’t have a dedicated computer for my music and I have a lot of downloads on ARC for when I’m driving.

It’s definitely strange as I had to use a Roon backup two weeks ago and nothing was affected. Maybe this just pushed it over the edge?

I suppose since this could be considered solved I would like to mention my current situation to Roon for future ideas.

So, because there seems to be multiple situations where I’d have to reinstall and I have a lot of downloaded music - I’m going to reactive my Plex account for “on the go”. I love that their downloaded music is alphabetical and I’ve never had to reinstall it so far.

However, Plex doesn’t have a parametric EQ or MUSE, so I’m also keeping Roon for when I’m at home. My home has a lot of bass problems and MUSE is a godsend.

If Roon could alphabetize downloads and become more stable - I would absolutely drop Plex for music and I would be more engaged in the Roon “ecosystem”

I’m aware that I could click albums and then downloads - but if I’m offline I can’t access “albums” at all. Unless that was another bug.

Anyway - thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. Fingers crossed for the future!

Hi @joeybravo89,

We appreciate you taking the time to write this out. The Product team eagerly ingests this sort of feedback and we’ll be sure to make sure they see this. If you have time and wish to amplify your statements for other users to see, I recommend posting in Feature Suggestions or Roon Software Discussion as well, since the Support section will auto-close posts after a certain time post-solution.

Thanks again!
