Maybe I’m paranoid, but I was just reading some info about Roon setup and I’m not sure I’m playing in “Exclusive Mode” because I can’t locate a place anywhere to choose “Exclusive” to my device (Lumin
S1).
Should System Output be disabled?

3rd pic down shows signal path
You’re fine.
System Output is irrelevant, that’s the built in speakers on you computer, you are not using that but it d9esnt do any harm.
Exclusive Mode is not relevant for a network attached device.
OK, is the fact that I have a Network Device the reason I don’t see the same set up images as shown in Roon’s Audio Setup Basics?
For instance, no where can I find this page shown below about Bit Perfect Format, among others.
I’m also viewing on Roon Remote, if that could possibly be a factor…
Thanks!
I think it’s because it’s a network device.
Information like supported sample rates is reported by a USB interface, and I guess not over the network interface.
I see the same thing. I have no USB device direct connected to the Roon Core server anymore. But I do see that colored sample rate display on my iPad, where I am running the Roon remote software that is driving the DAC directly.
So in summary, Roon displays the information when it can get it.
In general, devices have different characteristics and capabilities, Roon adapts.
(Btw, it has nothing to do with the remote. The remote is full function. I use only remotes, my Core has no display.)
Thanks! I’ll stop fretting now
