Artist equivalence: Earth (drone metal legends) mixed up with hip hop / R&B / electronic and probably other act(s)

Content you’re reporting an issue with

Artist: Earth, the drone metal band:

This is “Earth (2)” on Discogs:

Removed the “Grunge” genre from the artist, as it’s wrong (despite them appearing in Seattle during the Grunge era and being friends with Kurt Cobain). Added the Experimental Rock genre.

Is the album identified in Roon?

Yes

Description of the issue

The list of main albums in the Discography credited to Earth (drone metal) is OK. (Note: some albums in the screenshots are local files and don’t exist on Qobuz/Tidal, but they are nevertheless correctly attributed):

Singles & EPs are also OK (if incomplete)

The credits on compilations are correctly attributed to the drone metal Earth, but some albums also have additional credits to one or more incorrect other Earth artists. These are the Compilations from the drone metal Earth Discography, correctly attributed to them:

However:

The Sweet Mother compilation has another Earth that should not be here:

This is the Sweet Mother compilation: https://www.discogs.com/release/109776-Various-Sweet-Mother-Free-Activation-Series-No1
(Side note: I doubt that Rod Stewart, the British vocalist, should be credited on a Sub Pop compilation)

The Limits of Control compilation also has another Earth that should not be here:

This is the Limits of Control compilation: https://www.discogs.com/release/2136548-Various-The-Limits-Of-Control-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack

In the drone metal Earth’s Discography > Appearances, the drone metal Earth are credited to albums by Jay-Z, Skrillex, and GusGus, which is at last partially wrong:

Jay-Z:

https://www.discogs.com/release/233246-Jay-Z-In-My-Lifetime-Vol-1 (Discogs has no Earth here at all)

Skrillex:

https://www.discogs.com/release/33577194-Skrillex-FCK-U-SKRILLEX-YOU-THINK-UR-ANDY-WARHOL-BUT-UR-NOT-3

Discogs has no Earth here at all, but I am not 100% sure that Skrillex didn’t sample an Earth guitar (and the drone metal Earth do have some collaborations with electronics artists):

GusGus:

Discogs has another Earth here, namely “Earth (3)” on vocals:
https://www.discogs.com/release/48289-GusGus-Attention
https://www.discogs.com/artist/197765-Earth-3

While Roon has the incorrect drone metal Earth (again, they don’t sing):
