Description of Issue
When clicking “play now” on an artists, It plays only one track with the artists, and then starts playing roon radio selections based on that track. I assumed that “play now” for an artist would queue up all the tracks for the artists.
Can you complete the information sections in your post as this avoids assumptions been made and helps Roon’s support team to give the best advice.
My Roon Core is on Windows 10 and via an iPad I’ve tried to reproduce this fault.
Go to an artist’s page
Clink on “play now” (being careful not to select “start radio” from the drop down.
As song from the artist was played and all subsequent tracks played are from the same artist.
On the queue page it states … “Playing Birdy” which is what I expected to see.
Can you check what it says on the queue page on your system why this is occurring.
In contrast if “Start Radio” is selected the queue page looks like this … and the track selected will start with the “seed” artist …
but then segways to other artists that are considered similar…
Sorry meant to say … if all else fails … try rebooting the Roon Core. It’s been known to “cure” all sorts of ills.
I cannot seem to reproduce the issue anymore. Perhaps just my brain making a fool of me :). This thread can be closed.
No worries, we’ve all been there.
