I’d like to see a feature that would let me create a playlist of artists that would allow Roon to play any files in my library by those artists. I often find that when I’m listening to jazz that I’d like to select four or five artists and just have Roon play anything I have by them rather than locating all the albums and adding them to a playlist.

Have you tried using focus to filter on the performers you are interest in?
Once the focus is setup, save it as a bookmark for reuse at that later time.
I took a look at this and it does seem to do most of what I’m looking for, and quite a bit more. The downside is that it’s understandably dependent on the metadata. So after setting up some jazz artists in focus I get the occasional bizarre track played. But regardless, thanks for the tip.
