Artist - Song info with FLAC streams

Is it a Roon, Station, or FLAC limitation when streaming through Live radio that the Artist-Song info isn’t parsed and displayed?

The AAC/MP3 version streams of the same stations display the information. I’ve tried Radio Paradise and JB Radio2. Both act in the same way.

Radio paradise (on their streams site) have said the following re Flac streams

  • These links currently do not currently include stream metadata (song title info). Not our choice. We would if we could.

None of the FLAC radio stations that I listen to have embedded track info. However, it must be possible as both Tidal and Qobuz provide the info in their FLAC streams.

I’ve yet to locate the technical reason why radio stations don’t include the info.
