Artists marked as favourites in Roon pages

I’m a novice when it comes to roon and its library management.

When going through the “Discover” feature, roon brought up a suggestion of guitarist Michael Thompson. I opened that page that sets out his work, what is already in my library etc.

I bookmarked that page for my future reference.

I also “Favourited” him but can not see what that has done, ie no effect, when searching through my library under artisrs, or even songs he has been on.

I have no idea what “favouriting” him on that roon page actually does.

Any info would be much appreciated.

ps did the same with some other main artists, it might have been michael buble and still can not find any effect of clicking on that heart/favourite icon

If you are favoriting an artist in Tidal or Qobuz, you will need to have added content from that artist to your library for this to have any effect.

Once something is added to your library, “Favorites” can be selected when filtering artists on your “My Artists” page.

The artist i was favouring was within Roon software and from a Roon page on him, as opposed to favouring him within one of those apps. Tracks that he performed on had all ready been included in my library via various sources, including my own home collection

OK so then the artist will get a :purple_heart: and then you have the option on the artist page to show only artists with the :purple_heart:. That’s all there is to it.

All seems to be good now, Thanks for that. That’s what i was trying yesterday but not sure why buble was not coming up for me as fav artists yesterday (straight after i added it) but he is today.

Thanks for your help and assurance
