ASIO exclusive mode stop issue

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

Windows 10/AMD 3900X/32Gb RAM/NVidia Titan X/ Roon 764 64Bit

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Ethernet 1Gb.

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Topping DX7 Pro connected by USB, ASIO drivers (latests version)

Description Of Issue

There is a problem with the release of the ASIO exclusive mode:

  1. Pause - does not release the mode (this is normal, but I would like it to release)
  2. CTRl + T - Doesn’t release.
  3. Closing the app does not release the mode!
  4. If you start ROON app again and then after initialization, the mode is released before the first start of the music.

Source can be TIDAL or a local file(MP3/Flac).

Perhaps this is a problem with ASIO drivers, can anyone confirm / deny this behavior?
update: checked on foobar with ASIO, no problem - release exclusive after Stop/Closing app.

Hi Ivan,

Not official support, but, offering to help. Are you running Roon by itself, or, RoonServer and Roon (as a client) on the same PC?

I am not sure but I think - RoonServer and Roon (as a client) on the same PC.
I have only one PC + usb DAC, and I use Roon as a simple player (with streaming from Tidal).

Sorry, I did not install RoonServer, so Roon works by itself.
