ASIO zone still shown when device is off?

I plug my usb dac audio device to roon core. But why the usb dac audio still appear at audio zone when I turn the usb dac off?

The usb audio device will disappear in audio zone if i select the device setup.

sorry for lack of information. this happened when my dac is off.

Music location : Local SSD at roon core
Library size : 8414 songs
Music output : Roon Core -> USB DAC (ASIO)

Describe The Issue

I turn off the USB dac and the audio device still appear at audio zone.
It will disappear if i turn off the dac when play the song.

@support please help.

ASIO drivers don’t let us know whether a device is connected or not, so you’re always going to see the driver once it’s enabled, whether the device is turned on or not.

WASAPI drivers and most other networked audio devices let us know whether the device is available or not, so they will generally disappear when the device is turned off.
