Audeze Presets on Nucleus

I understand the regular nucleus does not handle all DSP functions, including Convolution. Since the Audeze Presets I believe are considered Convolution, does that mean that they will only work on Nucleus+ and not the regular Nucleus?

Thanks for checking in, @Harinam_Khalsa. Welcome to the Community!

Actually, the Audeze presets should work in most situations. If you start going crazy on your setup, however, we can’t guarantee the results

Thanks for answer Kirsten. Can you be a little more informative by what you mean “start going crazy on your setup”? For instance if I just set an Audeze preset, give some headroom and maybe a little bump up in bass, do I have reason to believe that this will work fine in entry level Nucleus?

I suspect you’ll be fine. I’ve got a Nucleus and I use the Audeze presets occasionally with no problems. If you have a Nucleus, the simple answer is try and see. If you’re exploring the purchase options, see if you can find a dealer that will let you try it. Then you’ll know.

I can’t find the Audeze Presets menu, only the option to enable it. Anyone know where to find it in the options? I know I saw it once ages ago but didn’t have headphones at the time but now I have some LCD-2 Classic for my Naim NAIT 50.

I’ve just read the Knowledge Base article about Audeze Presets but when I enable it the headphones list does not appear like the article shows.

You need to use a tablet or PC to access the detail settings of DSP plugins. Create Presets if you need to switch DSP configurations on the go (with a phone).

Thanks for this. I had a hunch that might be the case so checked in my iPad and it shows the full menus. Shall have a play now…
