Describe the issue
Hello Roon-Support-Team,
Good day!
I have a “challenge with Roon” and you probably know the solution... - but I have not found anything about this on the net.
I am still a Roon novice and have everything on one computer. Roon 2.0.1470 with a MacBook Pro (with the latest macOS Sequoia 15.2 and Intel i9 processor).
The problem is the “audio analysis” - which was still working last week when I started with Roon, but failed yesterday. I don't need it at all for listening, but I really miss the dynamic range displayed.
I have connected a SSD with albums, which are also read into the Bib - the wheel at the top right turns and the process is completed successfully. The displayed value of the tracks increases, then the system recognizes the tracks that have already been analyzed, the number decreases and the wheel to the left turns. However, when the readout is finished, the analysis does not start. The number to the left of the value of the outstanding tracks remains at zero. The wheel turns, but nothing else happens. If I then end the process by switching off the “analysis” and then switch it on again, nothing happens. Then only the speed information is displayed. Nothing was analyzed.
Only the “older” (last week) albums read in have the DR value and the “curled” time axis that shows the volume in the track history.
It is not like the analyzer is tripping over anything either, because it doesn't even start, even reading a single track is denied and the file structure on the SSD is innocent. Sniff.
Perhaps you have an idea how I can solve the problem?
Have a great day - and thank you for your kind support,
Snej.
