Audio analysis repeats when file tags are externally updated [answered]

I have been making some broad changes to file tags with Roon 1.3. I have noticed that every time a file tag is updated (using JRiver in my case), Roon not only rescans the file (expected) but also repeats audio analysis. Is this expected behavior? @support

RoonServer 1.3.196 on Synology DS1515+
Database on SSD Volume2
Media on /Volume1/music/

Yes, that’s expected. If the file contents change, it’s “mistrusted” as a whole and gets re-queued for tag extraction and analysis.

Thanks for the clarification. Is this new to 1.3, or did I not notice previously?

It’s not new to 1.3.
