Then it was uncertain when the audio connection issue occured. Now, that is certain : I hit the ‘Update All’ button and a short while after, the music playback stopped. Again, Roon shows ‘No Audio Devices Found’. THIS OCCURS DURING THE UPDATE. Please do not consider the usual firewall or VPN causes, because this is a long way of : there are NONE of these. Last time, a week ago, i had to REINSTALL Roon. Do i need to do this again… after every “update”… It is clear the Update caused this very annoying glitch… What to do ?

Hi @Yves_Devis ,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network
, and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.
Music was playing. I hit the ‘Update All’ button and then BOOM : Music stopped and all Audio output was gone.
Does your update procedure affect the status of the LAN allowance toggle in MacOS ?
READ my current and previous issue.
This is a repeatable bug - happened twice in a row now.
Do not advise standard procedures on Firewalls or Settings. Those are NOT relevant.
Seems like i need to REINSTALL Roon (again) and AVOID all future Roon UPDATES ?!!
PS
For all clarity, the above ‘advice’ did not change anything - then and now.

Hello @Yves_Devis ,
If you will close the Roon app from the task bar and open it again is it will fix the issue with the device discovery ?
In the top menu bar, click on the Roon logo
Select Quit Roon from the dropdown menu.
Open a Finder window.
Go to the Applications folder.
Find Roon and double-click to open it.
I am out this week and will try next week.
Is this a proven solution.
The problem seems to be wider spread judging on the times it has been raised recently.

Hi @Yves_Devis ,
Let us know if you’re still experiencing issues with device discovery after trying the steps that @vadim suggested. We’re here to help if anything is still not working as expected.
Did you adjust anything on the server or pushed through an update ?
I came back home after a week, and the audio sources were all accessible again… ???
