Audio devices not found!

hello, I have had Roon for over a year now, and last month I had to let my subscription lapse and did not have it for a shor time. When I reactivated my account, I cannot use Roon because when I open it up, it says “no audio devices found”! This is the exact set up I had before and everything was fine. I am connected with a 2.1 channel stereo speaker/sub connected to my computer and chromecast connected to my stereo. Neither one of them are showing up now, when they did before! I don’t know what to do to make my speakers “discoverable”. As of right now, Roon is completely USELESS to me. It appears I wasted $119…

I moved your post to the Support section. Until Support engages, you might try turning off your firewall and see if the devi es appear. If they do, then you will need to make sure that Roon, RoonServer, and Raat server processes are exceptions.

OS Software updates may change firewall settings.

Sorry for the trouble, @Jeffrey_Rako!

I definitely recommend checking the firewall as Daniel mentioned. If disabling the firewall doesn’t help, please use the directions found here and send us over a set of logs using a shared Dropbox link (or any other file sharing service).

Thanks!

Unfortunately Dylan, I lack any technical knowledge of computers at all. I guess it was a small miracle that I ever got Roon up and running to start with! I have NO CLUE where to get these so-called “logs” nor do I Know how to send them to you using a file sharing service. I just want my friggin’ money back and I will just stick with foobar. At least it works…

p.s. I checked the firewall and ROON and RAAT server are ALLOWED access

Hey @Jeffrey_Rako,

I couldn’t be more sorry that we’ve missed on your reply until today :pensive:

I was wondering how things are looking now from where we stand? Is there still an opportunity for us to help?
