Audio devices not showing as endpoints after moving to new internet provider (ref#K4PXGA)

Is Roon Server running?

· Yes, Roon Server is turned on and running.

What do you see on your screen?

· I see something else

When you try to connect, what screen do you see?

· Roon only shows devices part of the Intel NUC that is my server

This error usually indicates that Roon Server and Roon Remote are on different build versions or release tracks.

· Everything is up to date but I still can't connect.

Describe the issue

I recently moved. My previous Google mesh wifi was plugged into the modem (Fiber gateway) with the exact same passwords; however, when I'm in Roon, my audio devices (HiFi Rose) doesn't show up as an end point. I've tried Ethernet and WiFi settings on the Rose. If I open the Roon app on my phone or computer, it opens and connects no issue - just no end points.

The only difference is the internet provider, from Spectrum to ATT Fiber.

Describe your network setup

New Fiber Gateway -> previous WiFi mesh (Google) -> end points (Rose). If I pull up my WiFi app, I see the Rose as a device on the network.

Hey @MLJones,

Thanks for writing in - it’s good to see you on the community again!

As an initial next step, it would be good to double-check if you may have multiple subnets active within your network, especially considering you have a mesh network. Here’s a quick example highlighting differences within subnets in a local network:

For example, your server machine might be 192.168.1.4. If this is the case, you’ll need your remotes and endpoints to also start with the same first 7 numbers in the IP scheme 192.168.1. If those first 3 sets of numbers are different, then they’re on a different subnet.

You can typically review IPs and subnets within the devices list in your router settings. Let me know if this helps! :+1:

Thanks for the response. I’ve checked that and spent an hour on the phone with ATT. I’ve disabled the Gateway wifi, etc to essentially make it a modem and use the Google Mesh. I can see the two HiFi Rose units on the Google Home app under devices, but for whatever reason Roon does not see them (unless I plug them into the port switch, same multi-port as the server ethernet cable).

Google should be the router, but I’m guessing there are some other IP conflicts. They have a tech coming out this afternoon. Hopefully they can figure it out.

With much swearing and throwing things, I was able to get it to work.
