Describe the issue

I have a grimm audio MU2, which I used as a roon core , when I use the MU2 as a core and a streamer with its built in dac the music comes through perfectly. But if I use the MU2 as a core and then play it via roon through my other 2 streamers there is a slight crackle and distortion which I hear from the tweeter . Can you please guide me on the solution

Describe your network setup

The network has a fibre optic cable with a Ruckus network switch which is connected via fibre optics to a Nordost switch from which it is connected to the Grimm MU2.

Hello @sijcon,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon support and welcome to our comunity!

To better assist you, could you please clarify the following:

  1. Which two other streamers are you using in your setup, and how are they connected to the network (e.g., Ethernet, Wi-Fi, etc.)?
  2. Are these streamers using their own DACs, or are they connected to external DACs for playback?
  3. Whether you are using RAAT or AirPlay when playing through your other streamers?

This information will help us further narrow down the potential causes of the crackling and distortion you’re experiencing.
