I’m not into the vinyl lifestyle but I am turntable curious, so when I stumbled upon Minta Foundry’s web-based vinyl record simulator, I was intrigued.
- Minta Foundry sells Patina as a VST3 or AU plugin with support for digital audio workstations like FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Studio One, Reaper, Bitwig, etc.
- Their free web version runs entirely within your web browser - uploaded files and sound processing happens locally (does not go to their web server).
I can now listen to Steely Dan’s Aja with the warmth, nostalgia, and character of vinyl: “the soft crackles, the subtle distortions, the warping tones that give life to recordings.” 
Worth a couple minutes of clicking around for grins and giggles?

I first thought it was a pot upside down on a camping stove. Do we perceive what we want to see?
Saw a film about a woman who was blind from birth then had an operation so she could then see. She had to touch objects to be able to recognise them, reconciling her experience with seeing them.
At first glance on my small smartphone screen, I saw a failed attempt at taking a record weight design to the next level
