Audio Research assigned assets to Lighthouse Management Group, a turnaround firm, for liquidation to pay creditors.
This looks to be the end of one of the best known long-term names in high-end audio

Not being a fan or user of tubes/valves I never thought that much of Audio Research equipment but understand how many audiophiles will be disappointed to see this long lived brand bite the dust. 
Weird. How did that happen? Sure some other Dyna-something company will buy the name.
