I used to be able to run Roon on my Macbook Pro - connecting home with a WireGuard / OpenVPN connection and would be able to play music directly from the laptop. The Macbook’ Audio Zone configured was working fine. Also, was able to run Roon Remote on my iPhone, and would be able to play music directly on the phone via vpn (WG and OpenVPN).
After upgrading to the Early Release Version 2.0 (build 1460) earlyaccess, and it coincided with upgrading to OS X Sequoia - Roon is no-longer able to detect the Macbook as an Audio Zone when connecting via VPN. It works fine at home in the local network. Same with the iphone.
Whilst connecting via VPN, - Roon Remote loads up fine - normal, and I can play music at the Audio Zones at home. But, I’m missing the Macbook / iphone as an Audio Zone to play music from it.
Where there any changes to the RAAT - limiting such? Or is there a specific time-out threshold that if Roon Core does not receive feedback from the Audio Zone, it skips it? (Currently connecting remotely with a 20Mb-50Mb, connection to home).
Else, it could just be OS X Sequoia (and iOS 18) changes that blocked Roon. But, am not sure how to trouble shoot this.
Am running Roon Rock. I’ve restarted the Roon Rock Server, and rebooted the machine. Restarted the laptop, iphone, and still no-luck.
