Every time I shut down and restart my Mac, my Audio zones completely disappear. The only way to get them back is to physically unplug the Ethernet cable and plug it back in.
I’ve tried toggling the ‘Local Network’ access on and off in System Settings, but that only brings back a few devices using AirPlay or Chromecast. My primary music streamer, the Primare I15 Prisma MK2, remains invisible until I perform the physical ‘unplug and replug’ routine after the Mac has booted up.
I am currently running macOS 26.3. I noticed in other forum posts that similar issues occurred back in version 15.0, but I am still experiencing this now. Is anyone else on this version encountering the same problem? Any advice would be appreciated.
It appears you are being affected by a known issue where Roon Ready playback fails to initialize after the recent 2.58 update. Our development team is already aware of this behavior and is actively investigating the root cause.
We have a dedicated tracking thread for this issue where we are posting updates and potential workarounds (such as restarting your Roon Server or network devices). You can follow our progress here: Roon Ready playback failing to initialize after update to 2.58
Please keep an eye on that linked thread for the official fix and release news. If you continue to experience this exact problem after the next Roon update is released, please reply directly to this thread so we can investigate your system further.
