Audiophonics ES9028Q2M accepted into Linux Kernel;

I saw this the other day on the MoOde forum https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/commit/d65a0f76d3adcf86a6f5c614c68edb3aeb3b8590
With the MoOde release 5.0 the ES9028/ES9038 driver from Audiophonics is now included. I got it going last night and now have hardware volume control, DSD and filters. Also 24bit/192k files play straight through. Nice. I have signed up for Roon and would dearly like to be able to use this chip to its full advantage comapred to Rpi-dac.
Is there a plan to include this new driver into RoPieee?

It’s added to the kernel, but specifically the 4.19 release. Right now we’re still on 4.14, but I’m already running for a few weeks with 4.19 to test it thoroughly.

I expect we can switch somewhere the coming weeks.
