Describe the issue

Auralic G1 has dropped out of menu - can't play anything.

Describe your network setup

Auralic G1 with 10.2 firmware ethernet connnection. Internet connection via Virgin Media 1Gb router/hub (and working fine as Auralic software itself plays music from Qubuz + everything else works and speed test good) Connected to Chord Hugo TT2/MScaler which are into Musical Fidelity M6sPRX/PRC Amps and then to PMC speakers. Roon is run from my MBP M2 16Gb running Mac os15.2

Basically my G1 no longer shows up as an available audio device - nothing has changed from when it did hardware wise.
This has happened a few times and restarting my Mac and Roon and/or the Auralic G1 has sorted it but not this time.

Hi @JohnH,

Just for due diligence, have you verified that MacOS has granted Roon local network access on this machine? Navigate to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and toggle permission on for Roon.

Yes, it’s on.

Hi @JohnH,
When updating to Sequoia a number of our Mac users have noticed that even though the toggle appears on they needed to toggle it off and then on again for it to actually be active. Can you please try that?

Tried twice … no joy. Still doesn’t appear.

While Roon sees my Auralic G2 on any of my iPads, it does not see it on my Mac computers.

When that occurs, I delete the Roon app completely from the Mac, download the latest from the Roon site again, do a fresh install of the app, and then the G2 is seen.

See if that works for you.

Hey @JohnH,

Sorry to hear your issues persist! If you could, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? That way our team can take a fresh look at additional Roon Server logging.

How is the Auralic connected to your mac/Roon Server? Are you able to establish a hardwire connection for additional testing here as well?

We’ll be on standby for your reply! :+1:

Hi, Logs sent from both my Roon and Roon Server folders with my email address in their filename.

I don’t think I can hardwire my Macbook Pro to my Auralic G1.

Hey @JohnH,

Thanks for the follow up! To confirm, can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and toggle Roon off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists?

This still appears to be an issue related to Sequoia, let me know if there’s any difference after rebooting this time.

I’ve been away from my equipment. I’ll getcthe chance to check this again in the next 2-3 days.

I have tried this a number of times and it does not make any difference.

The only way I have got it to work is to turn off the Auralic … as soon as it powers off, the Auralic appears in the Roon ‘devices’ list … but I have turned the unit off by then.

If I turn the unit on again I can use it, as the Auralic appears with a greyed background and a settings cog wheel to the right as opposed to an enable button.

Once I close my computer down though it won’t see the Auralic until I repeat as above !

I hope this makes sense.

Hi @JohnH ,

Can you please let us know the exact local time + date when you next observe this behavior, and share a screenshot/picture of the issue?

Also, can you please check to see if you’re on the latest macOS version? If you are using an older macOS version, is there any change if you update to the latest?

Strangely enough … Apple update today and the issue has disappeared !!

Now running Sequoia 15.3.1
