Auralic Vega G1 - Rock -> USB Input on Vega G1 - DSD-upsampling

I tried to connect my Rock to the USB-Input of my Vega G1. By default I`m upsampling all files to DSD 512. Roon is recognizing the Vega but DSD is limited to 256 max. The device can handle up to 512 and this is also available in Roon when input is set to streaming on the Vega G1. Is this a wrong device setting in Roon?

  • Roon Rock is running on NUC8i7BEH
  • USB connection with Audioquest Coffee
  • Auralic Vega G1 in on Firmware 6.2.1

The Vega may only do DSD512 with windows drivers for USB

Hello @Mathias_Burgin,

The AURALiC VEGA G1 will be limited to DSD256 via DoP when connected to Linux or Mac USB hosts.

The VEGA G1 supports DSD512 on its USB input when used in Native DSD mode. At this point in time, AURALiC has only implemented Native DSD support for Windows USB hosts.
