Auralic Vega G1 setup

Sorry for asking a very simple question: I got converted to streaming and Roon, when I bought an Auralic Aries Mini for the stereo in my study. The setup is as simple as can be: from the computer network (2 harddisks attached) via Ethernet/RJ45 to the Aries Mini, and from there into two separate power amplifiers.

The setup works so well, that I now want to do the same thing with the bigger stereo in the living room, now using an Auralic Vega G1. Would that work, or do I have to use another device between the computer network and the Vega? A hifi sales person said I have to put in another Aries Mini. But why should I have to do that?

No, you just use Ethernet (preferred) or Wi-Fi to the Vega. Will work just fine.

What ROON settings are people using and how are people who use Tidal handling MQA files?

Set MQA hardware support to none and enable Roon’s first stage MQA decoder in the “advanced” section.
