I have a multi-zone audio system in my house from the pre-digital music era, and I’m experimenting with replacing it with roon.
Still need to sort out what do do with the in wall controllers!
Mostly everything is looking good with roon / ropieee etc.
However one of the issues is there is some audio bleed between the zones. Often we’ll play something in one zone and then want to also listen in another.
This needs the zones grouped to work, but this requires some gui effort to achieve.
One idea would be for roon to notice that exactly the same thing (radio stream, album…) is being played in another zone - and automatically group them.
Would need to be an option as to which zones are eligible to not be annoying!
