I suspect it is because you are starting your local album title with "1991 - ". As a test you could rename that folder to “Rumor and Sigh” and re-analyze and see if it is grouped.

Well, I didn’t get enough sleep last night, but, at looking at it again, why do you think they are NOT grouped.

Both are in the section called “In This Group”.

No they are not but thanks for trying. Only top one is in the group the bottom one is under “Also in your library”. If I click “Group all” then they will be together.

Also they show up as separate albums in album view even though “show hidden tracks and albums” is off.

Also if I manually group them they ALL ungroup again if I add Qobuz as a 2nd service.

Also my iPhone app crashes every 30-60 minutes when using it, so buggy…

Roon Album grouping, what does it do?

Album grouping happens by default if you have two or more copies of the same exact version of an album. An example would be you have a local copy of Revolver and then same version from Tidal and Qobuz. You might also have a copy of the new remaster of Revolver just released.
