Description of Issue

Since last update, there is an issue with the parsing of search results in the search box.
The search box displays “Can’t connect to Roon search” error message, whereas the search is actually working.
As you can see in the attached log extract, the issue happens during the parsing of search response, only while trying to display the preview of the results in the search box.

I’ve made a screen capture of the sequence which has produced the previous log, but I can’t upload it directly to the forum (or at least I haven’t found how :person_shrugging:), so here’s a link to it (hosted on pCloud):

I would say, it’s the same on Windows too.

This is in wrong section as its early access and not the main release. Moving it.

Sorry for posting this in the wrong section.
I haven’t switched back to stable channel since the ARC preview campaign, so I can’t say if the stable version of Roon has the same issue.

Not noticed this on B1145 myself yet.

Scrap that yes your right, its also very slow tonight at populating anything. I am on RCK and latest Roon OS.

Another voice to say seeing the same on Win 10 client. It seems that result is returned when the currently entered text does not yield a hit. Type something to get a hit, then backspace until the message appears, then add the correct part and it appears again.

To re-create, in the search bar enter EVA and a space, it will show “Cannot Connect to Roon Search”. Add just a C after the space, and results appear. Backspace delete the C leaving EVA and a space, and the cannot connect message returns. Play around all day going back and forth by adding and then removing the C.

Hi, all!

We have an open ticket for this. Unfortunately, this is a known issue but we have a potential fix for it.

Thanks!

Ivan
