Updated my 2019 MacBook Pro using MacOS 13.0 (Ventura) and this is the first time I have had some update issues.
Upon the automated restart of Roon after the update, Roon presented a screen requesting whether I wanted to disable my Storage location (local to my MBPro, about 19K files, all files ripped, no streaming services), so I ignored the Disable option and clicked through. Roon started but did not have my storage location active. Rather than confirm and reselect my storage location, I chose to perform a Restore from an B1145 backup from November 5. This went quickly, relogged in, but then found my most recent ripped files, about 7 from November 5, did not have their artwork showing on the Home Page or the Album page. BUT, one of these was a third version of an album I have, and when I selected Versions in the album, the versions selection showed the artwork correctly.
I then restarted Roon and then the artwork showed correctly on the Home page and the Albums page. Lost my listening history from yesterday and today, but otherwise everything seems to be working.
There’s constant dropouts with this latest release. Never experienced this before. Running Roon on a dedicated QNAP NAS with 8GB RAM and core on USB attached solid state drive, all wired via a switch to a Devialet Expert Pro
I Am also having some slow behavior on a Synology changing tracks, a big pause sometimes between tracks when skipping or starting a track. I am noticing this more on Naim streamers than on listening on the iPad. The streamers are connected by Ethernet.
Also background audio analysis get stuck on the last two tracks sometimes, the only way to get to normal behavior is deactivating audio analysis and reactivate.
Also having dropouts when converting dsd lto pcm for the Naim streamers, not always but more than before.
