When you go to a playlist and remove one song from it on ARC, it “sticks” - meaning it’s fine immediately from ARC and when you go to any other Roon remote it’s gone too. But if you try to remove another, the same success message “track has been removed from playlist” appears, but it’s still visible in ARC, and is not removed. It seems if you hit the “down arrow” on the playlist to exit it, then select the playlist again, the first track you try to remove can be successfully removed again but not the second etc.
Just to be clear, the first time you click remove you can see the “track removed” success message and immediately the track is gone. The second time, you can see the track that you’ve removed at the exact same time the success message is here. In the screen shot below I’ve just tried to remove the track called “3 melodies…” and seen the success message which you can see, and it’s still there in the list, and persists if I exit and go back in.
Then if I go out and back into the playlist and this is the first track I try to remove, bingo presto success.
All this on iPhone 12, build 1180 earlyaccess).
Happy to do more testing; I don’t do this too often, but it’s a great feature.
For background I have several playlists with Brian but specific types of music (eg piano & bass duos, early modern string quartets-octets). Occasionally I put the wrong album in (eg, I get Ian Bostridge and the Belcea Quartet in the string quartet-octet list). Or sometimes someone tells me something is great, and I add it but it’s not my taste (happens a bunch with ECM jazz, though certainly not all). This is disruptive to the list on shuffle, so I edit it. Doing these edits on ARC is great - I can create a list of stuff I want off and do it while listening to ARC and stuck waiting somewhere. It’d be even easier if there were filters on playlists.
