I just updated 3 Roon cores and 3 Roon remotes with no issues.
Roon cores include Dell XPS 15, Roon Nucleus, and Apple Mac Mini (late 2014)
Roon remotes include iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPad Mini 6, and iPad 8th Generation
Nucleus and Mac Mini were updated remotely using Splashtop as we are away from home this week.
