I know this has been reported before, but I just wanna flag the issue on:
- AA version: 8.8.630424 (early access, but basically AA v8)
- Car software: iDrive 8 latest, stable release
- Android version: 13, latest from Samsung, stable release
I also experienced the same issue in the phone app, as well as in AA. I have identified that the issue is related to not having the Roon server running. When the server is running (online) the album art is perfectly displayed. Since these albums have been synchronized for offline playback, they should be able to show the album art independently of whether the Roon server is online or not, or whether I have an active internet connectivity or not.
