B1463: No connection to my Ropiee devices

Roon does not connect to my Ropiee devices (1 wired / 1 wifi)
I have rebooted all devices several times (Ropiee, Roon, PC, Router)
Ropiee devices are connected to my computer and visible in browser.

Roon Bridges are showing in the “about” screen but are not showing in the “audio” screen

Couple of questions (first much more likely to be related to the cause of the issue):

  1. What version of MacOS are you running? Many have reported issues with the Mac security and firewall settings being (re)set to a state that prevent Roon from working when upgrading to the latest version of MAC OS.

  2. What is the ip address of your Roon server? Does it also start with 192.168.2. ? If not you have an issue with multiple subnets.

Hello @Jan_Willem !
Thanks for reporting!
I have a Raspberry Pi with a RoPieee version 2024.09 (1766) on it . And it is working perfectly. Which version of RoPieee do you have?

Thanks,

@andrew.v I’m on the latest stable version. With version 1766 same problem.

@Wade_Oram I’m running the latest Sequoia version, Mac firewall disabled.
Where to find the ip address of my Roon server?

If you can’t find it any other way (there must be ways on Macs just as there are on Linux and Windows PCs), you can find it by going to the Roon ARC settings page in a normal Roon Client.

e.g. From my system:

Aha, found it :slightly_smiling_face: It’s 192.168.2.36

I just re-installed Roon and it works again. See for how long

OK. So all devices are on the same subnet. Good.

Have you recently updated your Mac running your Roon Server to Sequoia 15? If so there are a number of posts on the forum already where people have had issues with the update changing the MAC security and firewall settings rendering Roon non functional in a manner similar to this.

If you have, then you should do a search on the forum for “Sequoia”. E.g.

For example, I found this post:

Beyond this, I’m afraid that I am unable to help as I don’t use either Apple devices or Ropieee. Sorry.
