I have an iphone 13 pro and the last few days Arc has been very buggy. Crashing at random. Now playing screen not updating to the track it’s playing. Just very odd. I just updated today but the problem is persistent. Any one else having these issues?
Anything? Roon Arc has been unusable for a few days. Constant crashes, very slow loading etc. disappointing as it’s my go to app. Is this only me??
Update: I rebooted my NAS and it appears to be running way smoother. I hadn’t had this kind of issue in a while. But it’s working better now. Note to send: always check the chain of your devices…
Well, spoke too soon. The crashes came back. Once again, Arc is unstable… My Roon core in my home is playing fine along with the Roon Remote app.
Hi, @Spence_Marquart, sorry for the delayed response here. Is there any specific set of actions that makes Roon ARC app start crashing or this behaviour just start after some time of app usage? How big is your library?
We are going to take a look at the diagnostics reports associated with your account.
Thanks!

Lately, it’s been happening on nearly every song when I hit play. My library is large over 320K tracks. I don’t use Tidal or Quboz.
I’ve never had these issues before. I’ve since stop using the app. My Roon remote app working fine as I was listening on my home stereo today with no issues.
Hello @ivan,
Please let me know what you find out. ARC has been crashing on every song. Thanks!
How is this not being addressed? I need an update please.
Hi, @Spence_Marquart, this is being addressed. Our dev department is investigating this case.
Thanks!

Arc at this time on iOS is just useless…can’t even get through 1 song without crashing multiple times…
Now I just use Spotify or tidal or qobuz AP’s directly.
So, it just started for you? It’s worked pretty well before and now all of a sudden it’s broke…
Broken for the last week or more…was down in Oz but back in Singapore now and no better. Even after the latest updates
It’s been about a week now. I feel I’m being ghosted. Does anyone now how to opt out of early access and get the most recent ARC and Roon Server production releases loaded?
Signed very frustrated.
Hi, did you see this reply yo you sent yesterday?
This should help, scroll down towards the bottom…
I am very frustrated with ARC - very sluggish and at times non-responsive. I am (with reluctance) thinking about switching to Apple Classical as my “remote” app.
Yes, they replied last Saturday. I‘ve been patient. I figured an update would be sent by now?
@ivan also posted again yesterday …
That said, this is what it can be like running Early Access, it can be frustrating at times … if that’s too much the option as you mentioned is to return back to stable production.
Either way, your participate in Early Access is/was appreciated and you can rejoin later should you wish to.
Oh, I’ll guess I’ll stay. It’s never been this buggy from the very beginning. I’m assuming they’re hard at work on a fix. I wasn’t sure this was an isolated incident on my end. So it’s confusing. Just any kind of update saying they’ve seen an issue would help. I can wait, just wanna know what’s up.
@ivan @Carl
Please help. I deleted roon server on my Sonic transporter and reinstalled roon server. Lost everything. It won’t connect. I have backups but since it can’t connect I can’t get to them? I wish I hadn’t tried reverting to the production. Now nothing works. This is after a week of waiting for a fix on the early access. I’m not happy and please let me know how to get a my backup loaded. Thanks.
Update: I’m in the process of backing up…
Okay. I’m back up. Sorry for the freak out. I’m on production now and thankfully the backup worked perfectly. I’ll continue to follow the Early Access page, but I’m cool being on the stable version on production for now. I plan on testing today. Thanks again and feel free to provide any feedback you find. Thanks!
